MAHLE JV8 RTV Sealant is a high-quality silicone sealant designed for engine sealing applications. It can be used to supplement traditional gaskets or in place of certain paper-style gaskets where RTV is required.

We recommend using quality RTV on engine reseal jobs because cheap sealant can fail, squeeze out, or break down from heat and oil exposure. On jobs like a 6.7 Powerstroke upper oil pan reseal, the sealant is just as important as the labor. A clean surface and the correct RTV help prevent leaks and keep the repair from coming back.
